Dear Members of the Seton Community,
In July 2010, exactly one and a half years ago, a contest was launched by ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation and Knowledge Channel to identify the most transformative schools based on six areas:
- Excellence in learning effectiveness and school efficiency
- Excellence in curriculum design
- Excellence in learning materials
- Excellence in methodologies
- Excellence in learning spaces
- Excellence in administrative systems
This week, the national screening committee picked seven finalists from all over the Philippines for the final evaluation.
An awardee was chosen for each of the six areas of evaluation. Finding Elizabeth Seton School excellent in all the areas the national awards committee decided to bestow upon Elizabeth Seton School the Excellence in Educational Transformation Award (EETA) as the most transformative school, for thinking big and differently and espousing the culture of Excellence Not Perfection.
The rigid screening, the thorough interviews and class observations were worth all the wait. Despite some problems, our school was identified and confirmed to be one of the finest in the country today.
With this major and top award we are challenged to even do better. Thank you everyone, for the wonderful support and your faith in Elizabeth Seton School. We hope we have made you proud.
Congratulations to all of us!
Sincerely Yours,
Josefina V. Suarez, Ed. D.
PresidentIt’s creepy how I can hear her voice while I was reading this. I felt as if she was speaking right in front of me, as if I were sitting on one of the monoblock chairs in the Seton Gymnasium.. -_- :))
I miss how proud we are. Honestly, at some point, college life killed most of my confidence. I mean, looking back? Hell I think we’re busier (though units now are tougher). After reading this, nabuhayan ako. Came to think of it? We can be proud ‘cause we have the guts and ability. Hai, High School Memories. Laging golden kahit hindi laging positive.
